University Commons, a multi building development, is located just off the interstate in the heart of Sugar Land, Texas.  Vista Equities wanted a unique approach to traditional retail developments, with a more pedestrian friendly connection between buildings.  Sugar Land is a community that values an emphasis on masonry craftsmanship, therefore we spent time and paid special attention to how we used brick to accent hierarchical design elements.  These brick details are not typically seen in standard retail centers, and bring a charm and character that is tangible upon arrival.  The meandering path at the entry of the site allows for a more comfortable approach to the buildings that create a double sided street with pockets of pedestrian space for restaurant patios.
